Evelyn was born on August 23, 1932, in Perrysburg, Ohio to the late Elmer and Florence (Birkin) Henry. She married Ray L. Bowen on October 27, 1951, and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1997.
Evelyn was a graduate of Perrysburg High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. After marrying her husband Ray, the two developed the Bowen Family Farm, where Evelyn was a farmwife, homemaker and continued to maintain the accounting books for the Henry Family Farms.
Evelyn enjoyed sewing and playing cards with her friends and family. Evelyn devoted her life to her family, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Ronda Williams, of Perrysburg, Ohio; a son, Scott (Barbara) Bowen, of Perrysburg, Ohio; a son-in-law, Matt Hoffmann, of Perrysburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Terra (Patrick) Ortiz, Adam (Chelsea) Hoffmann, Seth Hoffmann, Cassandra Hoffmann, Alexandra Bowen, Tayler Bowen; great-grandchildren, Isabella Ortiz; Caleb Hoffmann; sisters-in-law, June Henry and Betty Henry.
Along with her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela K. Hoffmann in 2011 and a granddaughter, Stacie R. Bowen in 1991.
Visitation for Evelyn will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory 1460 W. Wooster Street/ P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171. Funeral Services for Evelyn will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home Remembrance Chapel with Pastor Tom Mellott officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in the New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling, Ohio. A Funeral Luncheon will follow the interment in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home Remembrance Banquet Hall.
