Frances Elizabeth McArty, 97, of Champaign passed away at 4:20 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.
Frances was born April 5, 1917 in Villa Grove, a daughter of Frank and Hattie Norman Booth. She married Charles M. McArty Sr. in 1933 in Covington, Indiana. He passed away April 3, 2001. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a grandson, Steven Brown Jr.
Survivors include a son, Charles M. McArty Jr.; a daughter, Susan K. Brown; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Frances had worked in advertising at the Urbana Courier newspaper, Robeson's and Goldblatt's.
