Married Charity Purdy ~ His second cousin and daughter of Joseph Purdy and Charity Eisenhart of White Plains, N.Y..

They were married on March 28, 1775.

The wedding is reported in the Rivingston's Newspaper, the Loyalist Press. Apparently Charity did not survive the Revolution. She was born Dec. 12, 1758 and died 1780.

They had only one child "Mary".

Titled "Gabriel Purdy married" Youngest son of Samuel Purdy was married at White Plains, N.Y. Westchester County to Miss Charity Purdy daughter of Joseph Purdy of White Plains, N.Y., April 20, 1775. There were 47 guests, 37 of whom were Purdys and there was not a whig amongst them.
