A native of Miller County, Mrs. Akridge had resided in Albany since 1941,
moving here from Bainbridge. Widow of Paul Lamar Akridge Sr., she was a
homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Akridge of Atlanta, Ray Akridge of Albany
and David Akridge of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Walter Lamar Pierce of
Donalsonville, three sisters, Griver Sanders and Myra Morrison of Atlanta, and
Nell Garrison of Albany; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Matthews Oaklawn Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
