Mr. Jimmie Swindle, age 83 of Colorado City passed away on November 29, 2014 in an Abilene hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, December 1, 2014 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Bass officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 PM on Monday at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Jimmie was born on December 15, 1930 in Cisco, TX to Henry Taylor and Margaret Black Swindle.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Colorado City, was a member of the Pioneers with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, and served his country as a Marine during the Korean Conflict.

Those left to cherish Jimmie's memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Arlene Swindle; daughters, Debbie Escamilla and husband Mario and Pam Rasberry and husband Bobby Vallie; grandchildren, Lanie Escamilla and partner Candice, Carrie Fonseca and husband Raul, Amy Rasberry and husband Tom Cantrell, and Jimmy Rasberry; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beth Bailey and husband Raymond; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jack and Bonnie; and son-in-law, Dennis Rasberry.

A visitation will be held from 3 until 5 PM on Sunday, November 30th at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
