He was born Tuesday, May 31, 1977 at Morgantown, WV a son of Cynthia Kay Phillips Riddle and his step father Rob Riddle.
Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Jeanette Lee Rennix Phillips, Elkins; one uncle, Alan Phillips and wife Brenda, Elkins; three aunts, Diana Peters and husband David, Elkins; Joan Antolini Phillips, Winfield; Beth Phillips, Elkins; seven cousins, Jamie and Shelly Phillips; Heather and Matt Lyons; Misha and Matt Lee; Laura and Ron Fullerton; Matt Peters; Josh Phillips; and Nic Phillips; his fianc, Twila Wolford, Coalton, his two special kids, Natalie and Hanna and his canine companion, Neko.
Preceding him in death are his maternal grandfather, Howard Alton Phillips; and three uncles, William Howard "Bill" Phillips; Eric Wayne "Rick" Phillips and Alton Chester "Butch" Phillips.
He was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1996, was a former employee of the C.C.I.L. of Elkins, Vision Automotive and as a cook for Fox's Pizza and Davis & Elkins College Cafeteria.
He was currently employed at Colonial Mill Works at Beverly.
He was an avid outdoorsman, loved Four Wheeling, was a noted Oakland Raiders Football Fan and enjoyed movies and dining out.
He loved spending time with his friends and entertaining. Jay touched the lives of many through his "devoted friendship."
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday.
Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 11 AM.
The Reverend Walter H. Blough and the Reverend Douglas A. Jenkins will officiate and interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins, WV.
