Henry Edward Gibbs, Jr., 87 of Selma, AL passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Gibbs.

Mr. Gibbs is survived by his children, Henry E. Gibbs, III (Sheree) of Marion Junction and Gail Lovelady (Randy) of Selma; grandchildren Fran Bruner (Mike), Ryan Lovelady, Steven Isbell, and Eleanor Mathews (Colby); great grandchildren, Hayden Bruner and Daniel Lovelady; a brother, Norman Gibbs of Tuscaloosa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Gibbs was devoted to his church family which was evident through his many years of service in different capacities within the church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenny Hatcher and Rev. Ken Blake officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the Service in the Fellowship Hall at Northside Baptist Church.

Active Pallbearers will be Harold Perkins, Don Yelverton, Norman Copeland, Ricky Seymore, Jim Mason, and Ray Wood.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Northside Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Northside Baptist Church or charity of your choice.
