Warren, OH – Miriam P.Hughes, 92, died of natural causes on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Liberty Arms Facility in Liberty.

Miriam was born on March 16, 1919 in Warren, the daughter of Sam & Mary Mattilla.

A lifetime resident of Warren, OH, Miriam felt fortunate to work for the Warren City Schools for most of her career. Before she retired, she had served as a primary administrative support for three of Warren City School's Superintendents. Miriam led a fulfilling life and had a passion for ballroom dancing, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed travel and meeting new people, getting to know their history and backgrounds; she will always be remembered for her ability to befriend anyone who sat next to her, her great sense of humor, and her generosity to those in need as well as her friends and loved ones.

Surviving her include her daughter, June Crain of Liberty; her son, Kenneth (Kathy) Rieser of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
