He served during the Korean War and retired from Overnite Transportation after driving 4 million miles all over the U.S. and teaching others to drive. His passion was his family, the Bible, joke-telling and relaxing by the pool.
He was also preceded in death by
sisters, Bertha Jayne and Ethel Lehman;
brothers, John Paul, Marcus and Corbett Rigsby.
He is survived by
his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Stoll) Rigsby;
three children, Brent Rigsby, Sonia (Tom) Dotson and Dustin (Marsha) Rigsby;
grandchildren, Billie Salmons, Zach and Cortney Dotson, Jessica, Melissa and Jacob Bragg;
siblings, Roy (Greta), Mary Justice, Martha Ann Bliss, Joe, Herman (Charlene), Thurman (Linda), Margaret Smith and Sue (Don) Coston;
numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
