Vivian Allison Banther Mitchell, 90 died November 26, 2014 in High Point. Born July 21, 1924 in Alamance County she is a daughter of the late Dillard Weldon Banther and Mary Inez Hawkins Banther. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband Joseph R. Mitchell in 1993 and four siblings.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by three children, Gary Mitchell and wife Wanda of Archdale, Vickie Cannon and husband Robert of Greensboro and Donna Ross and husband Benny of Burlington, five grandchildren, Joseph Howard Cannon and wife Angela, Mary Cannon Feger and husband Bryan, Lauren Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Brian Ross and wife Burkley and three great grandchildren, Madelin, Allison and Beckett. She is also survived by a niece whom she raised and loved as her own Amy Hadwin and her special care givers, nieces Gail Hughes and Pam Turner and Edna Handy.
Private graveside services will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington .
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
