Paul Edward Short, age 79, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital, Nashville.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor David Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Full Military Honors will be rendered.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Paul was born in February 4, 1934 in Harland, Kentucky. Paul retired a Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy and was a proud seaman and Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Chong Yi Short of Clarksville; daughter by marriage, Linda Sue Persky (Bradley) of Bowling Green, KY; and grandchildren, Christopher Martin Davis, Ginger Mariel Daniels, Amanda Yi Daniels, and Jacquelyne Jewel Juncker.
