Charles "Charlie" Leonard Carneal
June 12, 1919 - November 25, 2014

Charles Leonard Carneal was born on June 12, 1919 to Virgil Eugene Carneal and Elvira Vera Carneal in Vickery, Dallas, Co., Texas and passed away on November 25, 2014 in Dallas, Texas.

He was a proud graduate of North Dallas High School, where he played baseball and was active in ROTC; he was later President of the Bulldog Club. He also attended SMU. Charlie was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church for over 50 years, including 40 years as a Lay Reader and member of the Choir, while serving several years as a member of the Vestry. He also served Lake Highlands High School, which his three children attended, as member and President of the Wildcat Club. Charlie was a proud World War II Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Virgil Carneal and sister, Irene Carneal Penry.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae Carneal and sons, David, Charles and daughter Carolyn.

The visitation for will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Restland Memorial Park.
