Janet Statuti of Dover, died at her home Sunday, November 23, 2014. She was 71.
Mrs. Statuti was born May 6, 1943 in Mechanicsburg, PA to the late Henry and Betty Davis Klock. She worked at Kmart in Dover for about 13 years, then returned to college. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Delaware State University graduating at the top of her class in 1992. She was very active in the Dover Art League, the pottery studio is named in her honor. Also, she and her husband were active members of the Liberty Church in Dover.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Dunham.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Statuti, Jr. of Dover; 2 daughters, Jennifer Dunham and husband Terry of Clayton, and Deborah Howells and husband Phillip of Baden, PA; 2 sons, Joseph Statuti, III of Camden, and Daniel Statuti and wife Tina of Harrington; 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Alex Dunham, Phillip and Kathleen Howells, and Theresa Statuti; sister Marian Mackey; and brother John Klock.
Funeral services will be held 11am, Friday November 28, at the Liberty Church, 1150 College Rd., Dover, DE 19904. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE.
