Carolyn Irene Jensen, 83, of Correctionville passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center.

Carolyn Irene Jensen was born on May 21, 1931, in Smithland, Iowa, to Arthur and Gertrude Christman. She graduated from Smithland School in 1949.
Carolyn was united in marriage to Robert Jensen at Rodney (Iowa) Congregational Church on Feb. 10, 1950. They farmed as partners in everything for 40 years, retiring in 1994 because of Bob's ill health. They made their home in Moville upon retirement.

She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton. Carolyn loved gardening, reading, and helping others but most of all she was Bob's right-hand hired hand in their farming operation. She also loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing things for them and going to their sports events.

Upon her retirement she followed her dreams. She drove a tractor again, took a ride in a boat, rode a horse and four-wheeler, and petted a cub tiger. She moved to Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center in 2011. While there she enjoyed the group activities and enjoyed visiting with the other residents and nurses.

Survivors include her three sons, Eugene "Yogi" and Cindy Jensen of Moville, Bryan and Paula Jensen of Elgin, Neb., and Robert and Patty Jensen of Correctionville; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, James and Amber Jensen of Danville, Iowa (Kory, Elizabeth), Andrew and Nicole Jensen of Moville (Wyatt), Shawn and Rashelle Jensen of Moville, Anthony and Kristina Jensen of Adams, Neb. (Drew, Eli), Aaron and Kori Jensen of Waverly, Neb. (Everett, Kellen), and Sarah and James Mullen of Lincoln, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, George Christman, Charles Christman, and Earl Christman; a sister, Nellie LaMont; and four nephews, Georgie Christman, Harold Christman, David Christman, and Skip Christman.
