JAMES Ethridge ABBEVILLE James Alvin Ethridge Sr., 75, of Route 4, husband of Hammie Gentry Ethridge, died Tuesday night at Abbeville County Hospital. Born in Abbeville, he was a son of the late Charles Elijah and Louisa McCarley Ethridge. He was a member of West-side Baptist Church and a member of the Woodmen of the World, Surviving are wife of the home; three sons, James Alvin Ethridge Jr. of Inman, William Wade Ethridge of Omaha, Neb. and Bobby Ray Ethridge of Abbville; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Ethridge Clemons and Mrs. Carolyn Wiley of Abbeville and Mrs. Shirley Bullington Of Albany, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Idelia Pinson and Mrs. Mable Ethridge Gilmer of Abbeville; 16 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Westside Bap-, tist Church, conducted by th Rev. James Blackwell and the Rev. Francis Whitmire. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The body is at Harris Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
