Agnes Ann Biesemeyer, 89, formerly of Westvale, passed away Thursday, November 20 in Cape Coral, FL. Born in Passaic, NJ, she lived in Syracuse from 1927 until moving to Westvale in 1950. Ann was a 1943 graduate of Most Holy Rosary School and a 1947 graduate of Syracuse University College of Applied Science. Ann was a communicant of Holy Family Church and member of the Newcomers Club, Westvale Ladies Golf League and Westvale Golf Club. Her volunteer work included American Field Service, Community General Hospital, WCNY Read-Out, Westhill School District, and Girl Scouts. She received the Post-Standard Woman of Achievement in International Friendship in 1980. She received the Girl Scouts Thanks Badge, its highest honor, in 1981. She and Warren spent winters in Florida since 1991 and moved there in 2008. Ann brought smiles and made friends everywhere she went. She found joy in life and shared it freely. Ann was predeceased by her sister, Roberta Ealy, in 1986. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Warren; children, Janet Nardolillo of Albany, Jean Marie McLain of Fort Myers, FL, Joan Rocamora of Shanghai, China, Ralph Biesemeyer of Portland, OR and Carol Biesemeyer of Camillus; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 5 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Ann will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
