Ruby Jean Dunovant Cardwell, 83, passed away Sunday evening, November 19, 2017, at Morehead Nursing Center.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 22, at First Wesleyan Church in Eden. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Cardwell was born February 4, 1934 in Spencer, VA, to the late Wade and Martha Newman Dunovant. She was a lifetime member of First Wesleyan Church and a retiree of Bank of America.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Thornton; her second husband, N. D. Cardwell; and four brothers.
