Whereas my wife, Demarest Jane, has left my bed and board without just cause or provocation, this is to caution all persons from harboring or trusting her on my account, as I shall pay no debts of her contracting after this date. Albert A. Sheive. Jackson, June 5th, 1851.

They had married 25 Dec 1849 (Tioga Eagle, Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, January 9, 1850) by Rev. Samuel Grenell. Jane was the the daughter of Martin Johnson and Mary Patton.
