Joshua David Grimes, 15, Lincoln and Seward, went home to be with the Lord Friday (3/24/06) after a courageous two-year battle with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. He touched so many lives with his kind heart, great strength and positive attitude. He will be greatly missed by everyone and will never be forgotten.

Josh was born in Lincoln on Oct. 23, 1990. He lived the first few years of his life in Seward, and then moved to Lincoln. He attended Randolph Elementary, Lefler Middle School and Southeast High School. Former member, Pack 39, Cub Scouts of America. His favorite class was CAD tech. He was a member of Lincoln First Church of the Nazarene. Josh was an aspiring rap artist and also interested in the business aspect of the music industry. Josh along with his friends, Terry and Tyree, formed a group called PCM. Josh was also a member of YARP (Youth Against Racism and Prejudice).

Josh loved spending time with his grandpa attending car shows and was an honorary member of the Rebels Auto Club. Josh was very proud of the car they picked out together.

He enjoyed camping, hunting, trout fishing with his dad and watching court shows and SpongeBob with his mom. He also loved being the big brother to his siblings.

If Josh wasn't constantly talking on his cell phone to his girlfriend, Jade, he was hanging out with his best friends, Terry and T-Bone.

Josh is survived by: his mom, Stacy; dad, stepmom, Craig and Trixie, Lewiston, Idaho; sisters, brother, Kelly, Olivia, Emma, Jarrod; grandparents, Larry Wentink, Seward, Barb Wentink, Lincoln, Ken and Penny MacDonald, Lewiston, Idaho, Norma Grimes, Orofino, Idaho; aunts; uncles; cousins; girlfriend, Jade; many, many friends.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Church of the Nazarene, 1901 S. 70th St. Pastor Brian Smith. Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials to family in lieu of flowers. Visitation: after noon Monday; with family from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A St..
