Edward Peterson Seals, age 69, of Mary Esther, Fla., passed away in a local hospital on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000.

He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was of the Catholic faith.

Edward is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley; son, Pete of Mary Esther; granddaughter, Wendy Christine Lund of Virginia Beach; and great-grandchildren, Timmy and Katie Lund, both of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by three brothers, William C. Seals of Pensacola, Fla., Aubry Seals of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and James A. Seals of Huntsville, Ala.; and sisters, Bobbie Jo Seals and Janie Lassitter, both of Pensacola.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22. Burial will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery, with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
