Dad was born February 9, 1925, in Thatcher, Arizona, to Oron Waldo Berry and Maudie Jewel Harless. He married Fanny Amelia ox on December 20, 1945, in the Salt Lake Temple.
He served in WWII with the 2nd Armored Division "Hell on Wheels".
Dad and Mom will spend their 69th anniversary together this year. Dad was a gentle giant, a man without guile, with a profound love of family and the gospel. A highlight for Dad was to go on the Utah Honor Flight this past month with sons Jeff and Rick. You are our hero, Dad! We love you!
Dad and Mom had 15 children, ten boys and five girls. He is preceded in death by his wife; children, Melvin Joseph, James Allen, and Cindy; grandson, Richard LeGrande Jr; siblings, Lesley (Lorna), Ida (Melvin) Owen, Claude, Billy, Ina (Bob), and Betty. He is survived by Carla (Glen) Walker, Marsha (Allen) Burnside, Mike (Karen), Robert (Sherry) David (Pam), Richard (Vicky), Steve, Dianne (Miles) Asato, Jon (Rainey Campbell), Jeff (Kari), Tom (Kathryn), and Lizzie (Chris) Bugby; 38 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Alfred (Joyce), Wayne (Joy), and Leora Quigley.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014, at the Kearns East Stake Center, 4769 South 4300 West. Viewing 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment - Valley View Memorial Park.
