Travis Hunter Owens, 31, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the home of his grandmother. Born in Wilmington, NC, he was the son of Brad Owens of Tarpon Springs, FL and Donna Lee (Duncan) Anderson of Easley. He was a graduate of Dunedin High School in Dunedin, FL where he played football and was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of Arrow. Travis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Berea First Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, Travis is survived by a sister, Rannon Owens of Easley; step-father: Terry Anderson of Easley; paternal grandmother, Patricia Unger Owens of Travelers Rest; maternal grandmother, Helen Lee Duncan of Greenville; step-grandmother, Marian Anderson of Greenville; step-brothers: Brent (Melissa) Anderson of Summerville, SC and Chris Anderson of Easley; 3 nieces, 2 nephews and his favorite aunt Carol. Also surviving Travis are his special friends, Matthew and Emory and his special companion, Luke his pet dog. He was predeceased by his grandfathers: Carol Roland Owens and Jack Duncan.
