Born and educated in Allendale, SC, she was a resident of Trenton for over 50 years. She was formerly employed for several years as a laundress at Blakely Laundry. Mrs. Vines was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served with the choir and Pastor's Aide Ministry.
She was predeceased by her husband, James H. Vines, Sr., her parents, Pearl and Annie Small, one son, James H. Vines, Jr., her sisters, Francis Adams and Louise Webb and five brothers, Andrew, Richard and Sam McCullough, Curley and Harlee Hersey.
She is survived by her daughter; Shirley Johnson (Ronald); of Trenton; one grandson; Kenny Moore; of Trenton who was also one of her caregivers, five granddaughters;
Miesha Johnson; of Washington, DC,
Amber Vines; and Kelly Buck; both of Steelton, PA,
Trea Buck; and Lachelle Brice; both of Harrisburg, PA;
five great-grandchildren;
siblings; Betty Davis (Tom); of Rockingham, NC and
Charles Hursey; of N. Little Rock, AR;
her daughter-in-law; Beverly Vines; of Harrisburg, PA;
three goddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
