He was a retired employe of the Board of Education of Baltimore County. He was a member of the Evangelistic Temple of Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Kincaid Adkins; four daughters, Mrs. Mary McGuire and Mrs. Virginia Alsip, both of Baltimore, Mrs. Ida Mae Huffman, Cearfoss and Mrs. Dorothy Sampson, Linn, Mo.; son, Robert F. Adkins, New Oxford, Pa.; 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Services were held at the Evangelistic Temple on Spruce Street, Hagerstown; burial was in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
