Apt. Tuten

ESTILL - Services for Apt. G. Tuten, 83, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Staffords Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the church cemetery fund. Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton is in charge.

Mr. Tuten died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1994. Born in Hampton County, he was a son of the late William Jefferson and Lillian Ethel McCoy Tuten. He retired as a farmer and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member and deacon of Staffords Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Minnie Alma Ferrell Tuten; sons, William Tuten of Scottsdale, Ariz,; George Tuten of Hampton and Joseph, Paul and John Tuten, all of Estill; sisters, Mary Edenfield of Orlando, Fla., and Ruth Shrode of Black Mountain, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
