North Augusta -- Services for Johnny Earl Bowman Sr., 64 will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Bowman Family Cemetery, with Masonic rites. Rowland Funeral Home is in charge. Memorials may be made to the cemetery.

Mr. Bowman died Monday, Dec. 14, 1992. Born in Lincoln County, MS., he was the owner of Bowman's Open Air Produce Market and Bowman's Tire Service. He was a World War II Army and Air Force veteran, was a member of Masonic Lodge 241 F&AM, Iron Workers Local Unions 469 and 433, Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Brookhaven, Miss., and had attended Copiah-Lincoln Junior College, majoring in structural engineering.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Bowman; sons, Johnny Bowman Jr. of Lafayette, La., and Randy Bowman of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters, Mildred Cook and Linda Broussard, both of Austin, Texas, Johnnie Pearson of Long Beach, Miss., and Tamra Edwards of St. Mary's, Ga.; a brother, Herman Bowman of Brookhaven; and sisters, Fannie Knipp of Jackson, Miss., and Betty Evans of Gretna, La.
