Scott, Scoot, Scooter. Scott was a Safety Patrol Officer in elementary school, a member of the Memphis Police force, and lastly a U.S. Secret Service agent. From earliest childhood he aspired to be in law enforcement, later setting his specific goal of becoming a GBI, FBI, or US Secret Service agent. He accomplished his ultimate earthly goal before departing at such a young age. Scott died in an auto accident in the line of duty. The Scott E Deaton endowed scholarship at the University of Alabama was created in his memory. 1John3:16.
