Ottis (Buddy) Rice. 49. of Route 1 Coker died Thursday night at Druid City Hospital.
Funeral services will be today at 3 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home with the Rev Charles O'Neal and the Rev-Larry Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Rice was a veteran of World War 11 and was employed by B.F. Goodrich Company.
Surviving arc the widow, Mrs. Peggy Channell Rice of Coker; three daughters, Mrs. Glynn (Debbie) Wheat of Coker. Mrs. Gary (Melody) Elmore of Northport and Sherry Rice of Coker, two brothers, Willie Rice of Tuscaloosa and James Rice of Moore's Bridge; a sister, Mrs. Myrtie McJenkins of Tuscaloosa; a grandson. Jason Elmore and other relatives.
Active pallbearers will be Willie Coleman. John Harris, Mike Harris. Skeet Sparks. William Thomas and D.O. Morris.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of B F. Goodrich, members of the West Alabama Hunting Club, friends and neighbors of Coker community, employees of Co-Ed Collar Co. Dr. J. D. Lord. Dr. J. H. Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Calabrese. Ronald Sutton. Mr. and Mrs. William Weaver, Carl Davis, Bunt Beckham, W.O. Ryan. Dereck Hartley, O. W.
