FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. MITCHELL ARE HELD
Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Mitchell, who died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Reinheimer, were held this morning at the home, 600 West Sixth avenue. The Rev. Harry Glenn Finney officiated and burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
Mrs. Mitchell's death was after a lingering illness. She was born in Scotland in October, 1832, and was 86 years of age. She was married in 1859 in Scotland. She and her husband arrived in Cedar Rapids by wagon from the coast. They lived in Linn county continuously for sixty years. Two children survive Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. Ella Reinheimer, and R.S. Mitchell of Kansas City. Mr. Mitchell died in 1872.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Presbyterian church of this city and an earnest worker as long as her health permitted.
