Billy Ray Sparks Sr, 60, husband of 39 years to Pam Dailey Sparks, passed away Thursday July 2, 2009 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Born in Irvine, Estill County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Arthur & Crystal Wiseman Sparks. He was a US Army Veteran and a self employed carpenter. Survivors other than his wife include a son, Billy Ray (Sarah) Sparks, a daughter, Lisa (Jonathon) Smith. Two grandchildren, Corey Smith and Daniel Sparks. In laws Robert & Joyce Dailey. A brother, Kenneth Sparks, two sisters, Judi Baker and Margie Quarles and a host of nieces and nephews.
He will be missed not only by his family but by his many Harley Davidson and Tennis playing friends. Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd by Pastor David Head. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers, Bill Wilhoite, Frank Bush, Gary Compton, Gary Keller, J.C. McLean and Tony Sylvester. Visitation will be 5-8 Sunday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home.
