BEAVER DAM - N. Pearl Ashley, 88, Hartford, formerly of Beaver Dam, died Monday. Born Nov. 24, 1907, in Hancock County, she was a daughter of the late O.C. and Lula Tichenor Adkins. She was a retired employee of the old Beaver Dam Elementary School and High School, and Ohio County High School. She was a member of Liberty Belle Homemakers and Hartford Second Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Powers McIntosh of Sun City, Ariz., and Karen Benson of Danville; a son, E.O. Powers of Porter, Ind.; five sisters, Orpah Bean and Virginia Howard, both of Louisville, Pauline Bartlett of Hartford, Anna Sue Taylor of Lake Station, Ind., and Wynona Martin of Owensboro; a brother, James Adkins of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Danks Funeral Home by the Revs.
Glen Armstrong and Pete Leach. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today. Memorials may go to Hartford Second Baptist Church, Beaver Dam Building funds, or ALS Association, 21021 Ventura Blvd., Suite 321, Woodland Hills, Calif. 91364.
