Harriette Arlene Meyers, 92, passed away on November 22nd at Fountain West in West Des Moines.

She was born August 10, 1922 in Minden, Nebraska, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Nelson.

February 23rd, 1946 she married Mark Wayne and resided in Lincoln, NE. Together, they had two sons.

In 1953, they moved to Des Moines.

Harriette worked for Bakers Cafeteria in Urbandale for 18 years until retirement.

Harriette loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren looked forward to her annual Christmas cookie decorating party. She also enjoyed crocheting, traveling and cruises. Many were envious of her green thumb. As a Nebraska native, she always cheered for the Cornhuskers.

Harriette will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Jan Meyers, daughter-in-law Margaret Meyers; grandchildren, Joe (CJ) Meyers, Jeff (Tabitha) Meyers, Lori (Ryan) Martin, Jenny (Brian) Wise and Kim Meyers; and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Erma Nelson, husband Mark Wayne, and son Mark.
