Cecil Bennett

Cecil Bennett, aged 47, of rural route No. 4, box 275, Adams road, died of a heart attack at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Singer Manufacturing company plant where he was employed. He was born in South Bend, April 15, 1901, and spent his entire life here.

On Aug 22, 1925, he married Anna Nisch, who survives. Other survivors were his mother, Mrs. John Rose, of South Bend; two brothers, C. L. Bennett of Mishawaka, and O. D. Bennett of Antioich, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Harold Shetterly, and Mrs. Carl Martin, both of Mishawaka, and Mrs. S. D. Hubert, of Zion, Ill.

Friends may call in the Welsheimer funeral home until funeral services there at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Edward W. Brueseke, pastor of Zion Evangelical and Reformed church, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold Lightner, Harry Burkett, Gerry May, Carl Wagner, Leo Lovett and Kenneth Murphy. He was a member of the Moose lodge.
