PRESCOTT; Stanley Sheldon Woods, age 90 years, passed away on Tuesday November 18, 2014 in Prescott.

Born on June 22, 1924 near Fairfield, Nebraska he was the son of the late Taylor and Ada (Kriutzfield) Woods.

Stanley was a navigator on a B24 Liberator and later was a fighter pilot in the European Theatre during WW II. Following his service in the United States Army Air Force he attended the University of Nebraska and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1949. He then returned to his life on the family farm.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his three sisters, Lola Ells, Elma Ells, and Vera Fuller. He is survived by his wife Patricia Woods, his sons Bruce and Bradley Woods; his brother Royal Woods and his brother in law Bill Humiston. Along with grandchildren Taylor, Trenton, Lindsey, and Michele, great-grandchildren , Jennifer, Heather, LeAnna, and Jenna, also his nieces and nephews Elma Joanne, Nancy, Carol, Harvey, Sarah, Linda, David, and Patti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service 11:00 am on Wednesday December 3, 2014 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church 630 Park Ave. Prescott. Inurnment will follow the service at the church memorial niche.

Donations in his memory may be made to: Yavapai Humane Society, Trinity Presbyterian Church, or Pineview Adult Care Home.
