Robert Gene Alderson
Robert Alderson, 80, Prairie Village, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007.
A memorial service will be at 11 am Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9100 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or to the charity of your choice.
Bob was born June 12, 1927, in St. Clair County, MO. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1944. Bob served in the US Navy in WW II and in the US M.C. Reserve during the Korean War, retiring with the rank of Major in 1972.
Bob received a B.A. Degree from Baker University and a Masters from K.U. in clinical social work.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Jeanette Alderson of the home, daughter Marsha Scrogum and son David Alderson, grandchildren Jeanine and Devin Scrogum, one great-grandchild, a brother Ray Alderson and a sister Eloise Babin.
Bob was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed.
