Betty Jean Greene age 83, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Cleveland County on March 20, 1931 she was the daughter of the late William Hoyle and Vada Vaughn Bridges. She retired from Shelby Mills as an inspector. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three children, one sister, and two brothers.
Betty is survived by two daughter, Shea Garrison and husband Evan of Shelby and Shakita Thornburg of Cherryville; three sons, Billy Greene of Shelby, Garry Greene of Blacksburg SC, and Barry Greene and wife Penny of Patterson Springs; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at Love Valley Baptist Church in Kings Mountain with Rev. Barry Philbeck and Rev. Eric Cantrell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. an hour before the service. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
