George Thomas Seals, 2085 Fitzhugh, died at St. Joseph's Hospital at 3:40 a.m. Monday, 19 Jan 1987.

Services were held Wednesday, 21 Jan, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Calk and the Rev. Dverle Archer officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

Mr. Seals was born 21 Jul 1918, in Lamar County, a son of Perry Seals and Sarah Bursby Seals. He attended Powderly and Oklahoma schools and married Louise Shockley on 28 Sep 1940, in Boswell, Okla.

They moved to Texas in 1948. He was a longtime employee of Campbell Soup Co., working there as a mechanic for 15 years until retiring 31 Jul 1984. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Sammy (Donna) Archer of Paris and Mrs. Glenn (Carole) Curry of Paris; two sons, Kenneth Seals of Rockwall and Richard Seals of Albuquerque, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
