Funeral services for Bobby Lee Scoggins, 67, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Southeast Baptist Church in Muskogee with Reverend Doug Miller and Reverend Donnie Echols officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Tim Davis, Johnny Edwards, Jerry Garner, Joe Hathcoat, Jerry Maxey, and Leamon Scoggins. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Collier, Larry Gardner, Donnell Rogers, Gene Seabolt, and Bobby Wicks. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
Bobby was born January 8, 1947 at Tahlequah, OK, the son of James Henry and Ruth May (Rogers) Scoggins and died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Tulsa surrounded by his family.
He graduated from Central High School with the “Class of 1965.“
Bobby served his country in the U. S. Air Force.
On October 9, 1998 he married Linda Lusk in Eureka Springs, AR.
Prior to retirement, Bobby worked as a mechanical engineer for the V.A. Hospital. He was a member of the Southeast Baptist Church. Bobby really enjoyed woodworking and his passion was fishing and being with his granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; two sons, Dana Scoggins of Austin, TX, Trent Scoggins of Muskogee; daughter, Kristi Walker and husband, Rocky, of Muskogee; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Maddi, and Laney Walker; brother, Jimmy Scoggins of Maryland; sister, Shirley Davis and husband, Billy Tim, of Checotah; mother-in-law, Naomi Lusk of Muskogee; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friend, Dana Davis and wife, Val, of California. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet friends and family on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
