Anna Eliza (alias Annie), the second daughter and second of nine children of Edwin and Susan (Scollay) Leigh was born on 18 May 1842 at Winchendon, Massachusetts. Annie married Henry Purkitt Wyman, the son of Robert Edward and Elizabeth Frances (Hadley) Wyman on 29 October 1863 at St. Louis, Missouri. They had three sons and one daughter born at St. Louis, Missouri:
1. Edward Wyman (b. 1867; d. 24 Jun 1919, Chicago, IL), m. 16 Oct 1901 at Kings, NY, Maude Louise Meyer (1879-1918)
2. Ella Wyman (b. 1868),
3. Leigh Wyman (b. 20 Feb 1872; d. 12 Sep 1960, San Francisco, CA), m. say 1899, Fanny Fern Clapp (1879-1958)
4. Hadley Wyman (b. 1874; d. 1893).
