LAWRENCE WINSTON-SALEM Mattie Lee Totten Lawrence Oct. 6, 1922 - Nov. 22, 2014 Mrs. Mattie Lee Totten Lawrence, 92, widow of Charles Edward Lawrence, Sr., died Saturday afternoon at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Lawrence was born in Yadkin County on October 6, 1922 daughter of the late Ernest M. and Bessie Cooper Totten. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Lawrence was a Life member volunteer at Forsyth Medical Center and was retired from Western Electric. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Cooper, Harvey and Avery Totten. Mrs. Lawrence is survived by her daughter and son in law: Linda and Allen Brown, Clemmons, NC, her son and daughter in law: C.E. "Buddy" and Jane Lawrence, Jr., Clemmons, six grandchildren: Todd Lawrence and Tammy Kupper, Christina B. Hudson, Constance B. McGrail, Shane McGee, Dana Wadford, and seven great grandchildren: Grant, Ashleigh, Sydney Hudson, Avery, Audrey, Aaron and Alec McGrail. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Salem Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gus Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park.
