Lena Mae Beitzel, 93, of Accident, MD, died suddenly at home on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Born May 3, 1921, in Accident, she was the daughter of the late John and Minta “Minnie” (Bowser) Bowser.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Raymond Beitzel, Sr., on August 10, 2004; one infant son; one son-in-law, Charles McCrobie; one granddaughter, Christine; four brothers, Roy, Freeman, Charles and Joseph Bowser and two sisters, Mary Thornburg and Betty Williams.
Mrs. Beitzel was a homemaker, who loved to spend time in her organic garden and loved to work, which she did all her life.
She dearly loved her family and was a friend to everyone. She was a faithful member of her church, Philadelphia Church of God.
She is survived by seven sons, Terry L. and wife, Peggy, Grantsville, MD; Wendell R. and wife, Ruth, Accident; Robert D. and wife, Rayetta, Oakland, MD; George E. and wife, Debbie, McHenry, MD; Kenneth D., Accident; Ernest, Jr. and wife, Susan, Accident; Ronald L. and wife, Gloria, Accident; four daughters, Dorothy L. Dillsworth and husband Albert, Floral City, FL; Eileen E. McCrobie, Oakland; Donna K. Beitzel, Accident; Pamela S. Gehl and husband, Daniel, Big Pool, MD; 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Hwy., Accident (McHenry), on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 4-8 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Peter Suwak officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home one half-hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Bittinger Volunteer Fire Department, Accident Volunteer Fire Department or Northern Garrett County Rescue Squad.
