Evangelist Dorothy Plummer, 74, passed away May 2, 2010 at E. T. York Hospice Care Center. A Gainesville native she was a Lincoln High School Graduate and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Survivors include; one daughter Marcia Williams, Waynesville, GA. 5 grandchildren, 22 Great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services for Evangelist Plummer will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 3:00PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Dr. N. Lamont Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home, 18 N.W. 8th Ave Gainesville, FL. Visitation Friday, May 14, 2010 at Chestnut Chapel from 2:00-7:00 PM and on Sat. at the Mt. Carmel Church one hour before the service. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. The cortege will form at the home of Ms. Plummer, 2323 N.E. 12th Street at 2:15 PM.
