Johnny Dean Horton, of Garvin, age 83, was called home by his Lord Savior on November 22, 2014 at DeQueen, Arkansas. He was born September 21st, 1931 at Fort, Towson.

He was the oldest of twins, born to Paul and Vanhoose Horton. He was raised in the Swink area, until he moved to Garvin and married Bernice Coffman Kuykendall in Paris, Texas on June 15th, 1968. Johnny was drafted along with his twin brother as a catcher in the Minor League Baseball team from Texarkana. He drove a gravel truck several years and also drove a propane truck for many years. He loved to sing, especially his country music. He loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, believed in him and his words.

There to meet Johnny will be the love of his life, his wife Bernice, parents; Paul and Ethal Horton, sons; Mark and Johnny Lee Horton, Alvin Reich, sisters; Brenda Horton and Mary Davis. Brothers; Alvin Horton, Buster Vanhoose, Gene and James Horton and his grandson Scottie Womack.

Johnny will be missed by his children; Keith and Gaye Horton of Hugo, OK., Mike and Anita Knox of Sherwood, OK., Sam and Trina White of Valliant., Jerry and Shirley Womack and Sam and Kathy German of Garvin, OK., Jeannie Dowell of Broken Bow, OK. 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Brother Bill and Mary Horton of Fort Towson. Sisters; Levarda Dooley of Midland, Texas, Joann White of Rowlett, Texas. Sister-in-laws; Ellen Horton of Swink, OK and Earnestine Horton of Broken Bow, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of good friends.
