Norman Richard Anderson 81 of Brownsdale, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.

Norman was born December 29, 1932 to Richard and Grace (Shaver) Anderson in Austin, Minnesota. He married Gloria Farrell on March 4, 1955 in Brownsdale.

Norman served in the Army from 1956 t0 1958. He was stationed in Germany. When he returned he went to Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis to become an electrician. Norman was an employee of 3M Company in St. Paul for 30 years.

Norman and his wife Gloria retired to their hometown of Brownsdale where they built two new homes. Norman enjoyed working on home projects, doing a lot of work on the new homes himself. He also did a lot of home projects for others using his skills. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, one son and his wife, one daughter and her husband, 3 grandchildren, and 2 brothers and their wives and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday November 24, 2014 at our Savior Lutheran Church, Brownsdale with the Rev. Jeffrey Sage offiiciating. Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the service on Monday morning. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
