Mrs. Sara Beatenbo Bond, 91, of Royston, GA passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA.

Mrs. Bond was born on April 21, 1923 in Danielsville, GA, daughter of the late Henry Fred Beatenbo and the late Pearl Bray Beatenbo. Mrs. Bond was a seamstress having worked at Oxford Manufacturing in Royston, GA and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bond was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Bond; one son, Gene Pascal Bond and four brothers.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Bond, and daughter, Sandra Bond Wheeler, both of Royston, GA; grandchildren, Sharla Ortiz, Ashley Catledge, Kelvin Bond, Kathy DeGrave, Konda Johnson, Kim Findley, Wayne Roach and Timmy Roach; and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bond with be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 24, 2014, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Royston, GA with Rev. David Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA. The family is at the home.

Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Trinity UMC Cemetery Fund, c/o Patricia Hart, 1297 Athens Road, Royston, GA 30662.
