Harvey Eugene Anderson passed away peacefully on October 18, 2014, surrounded by family and choice friends.
Harvey was born on November 27, 1941, to Warren and Patricia Anderson. His father was killed in an accident when he was age 4. He was raised during his childhood by his grandmother who he greatly adored and who taught him the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Harvey served four years in the U.S. Navy on the USS Midway (CVA-41). He loved his country and cherished the privilege to serve his country in the military. Harvey worked as a plumber for the Salt Lake School District for 38 years.
Harvey married Betty Jean Cooley on April 5, 1980. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with two children, Joshua Eugene and Betty Jean (BJ). His family meant everything to him.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved children and his calling with his wife as a Primary teacher. He was a man who loved people and would do anything to help others.
A viewing will be held at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, on October 20, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A viewing will also be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m., prior to the funeral at 11:00 a.m., on October 21, 2014, at the Midvalley 7th Ward chapel, 1175 East 7800 South, Sandy, Utah. Interment will be in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S Redwood Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
