Ferguson was preceded in death by his father, James Carlos Ferguson; mother, Tryphena Ferguson; brother, Jimmy Ferguson; and sister, Joyce Ferguson.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Ferguson; son, Patrick Ferguson; sisters, Jean Elders (Jack) and Judy Robinson; and brother, Bruce Ferguson (Gaynell).
