Warden, William V. Warden age 77 passed away Aug. 16, 2013 which was his birthday, from his parents, the late William J. and Virginia Carter Warden in Wayne Co. WV in 1936. Bill retired from COTA a few years ago, and has fought a courageous battle with many health complications. He was a wonderful husband and father. He is preceded in death by son William V. Jr, brothers Cornelius and Stuart. Survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mary Haddox Warden; sons, Robert, Joseph, James and step son, Steven E. (Ruthann) Haddox; grandchildren, Heidi, Jessica, William III, Christopher, Jillian, Courtney, Ryan, and Chelsie; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Jill) Warden, Charles (Donna) Warden, and Raymond; sisters, Elizabeth (Ed) Grogan, Lessie (Robert) Siders, and Dianna (Gregory) Brewer; and many friends and relatives. Friends may call at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St. Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. Reverend Lee Tabor officiating. Interment Glen Rest Cemetery.
