Mildred “Millie” Louise Frazier, 90, of Brazil, passed away unexpectedly, November 12, 2014 at her home.

Millie was born November 2, 1924, in Clay County, Indiana the daughter of Samuel E. and Sylvia (Campbell) Ames. She graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1942. She also attended Indiana Business College in Terre Haute. Millie worked for General Telephone as a secretary for more than 30 years. She also worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Brazil, the Clay County Auditor’s Office, Lynn’s Pharmacy Soda Shop and the St. Vincent Clay Hospital Gift Shop.

Millie enjoyed working puzzles and oil painting. She was a member of the Meridian Street Church of Christ the Clay County Senior Citizens, Red Hat Society and the Silver Sneakers at the YMCA of Clay County.

She married Irvin Frazier June 23, 1944; he preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents: Samuel and Sylvia Ames; brothers: Jerry Leon Ames and Virgil Ames.

She is survived by 5 children: Prentiss Frazier, Dane Frazier, Beverly Sears and husband Rick, Mark Frazier and wife Jan all of Brazil and Samuel Frazier of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren: Kevin Frazier, Tracy Frazier, Carrie Mills, Cassie Zentko, Lisa Feltenberger, Michele Engstrom, Amy Long, Amanda Eyre, Angie Gibbens, Sara Sinclair, Kristi Siples, Jonathon Frazier and Matthew Frazier; 22 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Norma Pell and a sister-in-law Loretta Ames and her loving dog Daisy as well as many friends and extended family members.

Services will be at French Funeral Home, Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1:00pm with Rev. David Grubb officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Sunday, from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the YMCA of Clay County 225 E.
