Mrs. Barnett was born July 16, 1910, in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of Benjamin and Minnie (Mae) Dicus. She attended schools in Anthon.
She married Paul Barnett in December 1945 in Elk Point, S.D. She was a homemaker.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, flowers and watching soap operas. In her younger years, she was a strong Pentecostal. She enjoyed church and church activities when she was able to attend.
Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Whitmore of Sioux City; a sister, Jennie Edmirer of Joplin, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Mike (Wanda) Lamieux and Julie (Dan) Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons; a daughter; and seven siblings.
